The aim of the choir is to promote conservative and godly music. We believe that what pleases the Lord and builds up the faith of God’s people is that form of reverential music which holds fast sound words of the Scriptures. "I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being" (Psalm 104:33) and "with a solemn sound" (Psalm 92:3c).
The Gethsemane Church Choir (GCC) ministers to the church by singing unto the Lord songs of praise during Sunday services, thanksgiving services and Gospel rallies. The choir also renders songs of joy and hope during weddings of Gethsemaneans. We also visited the elderly and the sick to encourage them with songs. On special occasions like Christmas, choir members visit homes of our members and friends to praise the saving name of Jesus Christ through songs.
The Lord has been good to the choir. GCC has hosted a Reformation Lecture and Cantata on each of the five solas of the Reformation. Though we are not the best of singers, we thank the Lord for using our humble efforts to glorify His name and edify His people near and far.
