Doctrine

Deuteronomy 32:2

“My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass.”

The biblical truths that God has revealed (“my doctrine”) through His servants, like Moses, are meant to be a blessing to His people. If they listen to the teachings provided in the Scriptures with faith and obedience, those doctrines will provide enormous blessings to them.

The truths of God’s Word will be like rain and dew that refresh the new grass and tender plants. Everyone who gives serious attention to the doctrines of God’s Word can expect divine blessing that will enable him to live a blessed life.

Through the prophet Isaiah, God said, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it” (Isaiah 55:11). To adhere to the truths that God has revealed to us is to be in the way of His blessing. The truths of God’s Word shall direct God’s obedient people to His blessings.

So, don’t despise the sound doctrines of the Bible. Study them and give yourself wholly to them by faith and obedience. Then God shall be your blessing.
