What is the Seniors’ Ministry?

The Gethsemane Seniors’ Ministry (GSM) is an outreach to brethren in their golden years. In their old age, our seniors need the spiritual comfort and physical support from the church. For the Bible reminds the younger generation to honour the older generation—“Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honour the face of the old man, and fear thy God: I am the LORD” (Leviticus 19:32).

What We Do

Through our weekly meetings, we aim to bring the comfort of God’s presence to our seniors. We praise God for His promise—“And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you” (Isaiah 46:4).

During the Seniors’ Ministry meetings, the Word of God will be taught, and the message will also be interpreted into Mandarin. Special outings and activities are also held from time to time for the physical, social and spiritual strengthening of the elderly.

Our regular meetings are usually held at Gethsemane Media Centre, 33 Ubi Crescent, Singapore 408584. Meetings are held on Fridays, at 11am. After the meeting, the seniors generally go out together and fellowship over lunch.
