To Gethsemane B-P Church, Singapore

Greetings in the blessed name of our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ.

Praise and thanks fill our hearts as we reflect upon God’s goodness bestowed upon Gethsemane B-P Church these past twenty-one years. Looking back to the early days of the Church till now, we can assuredly say, “The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge” (Psalm 46:7, 11). Since the formative years of Gethsemane, we have clearly seen the footprints of God’s providence and guidance. God multiplied and sustained her ministries, preserved her leaders and members in the most holy faith, inflamed her zeal for the cause of Christ, and empowered her by His Spirit to become a beacon of light sending forth the light of the Gospel message far and wide.

God has been blessing Gethsemane’s endeavour in the home and foreign Gospel missions. The mission churches set up in Ethiopia and the Philippines that are touching and transforming many lives by the Gospel message, giving living hope to many hopeless souls are indicatives of God’s blessings on Gethsemane’s ministry. The recent purchase of a property to build a Bible college and Church in Ethiopia is another token showing how the LORD has been giving success to all that Gethsemane sets her hands to do for the cause of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Truly, we have every reason to praise God on this occasion of Gethsemane’s 21st anniversary.

As we celebrate God’s past goodness and faithfulness, let us lift our heads and look upward to our blessed hope, the coming of Jesus Christ, our God and Saviour. And let us lift our eyes and see the fields that are white and ready for harvest and pray to the Lord to send more labourers to His harvest.

Let us join our hearts and hands together to gather precious souls of men for Christ till He comes.

The congregations of Gethsemane Bible-Presbyterian Church of Ethiopia in Addis Ababa and Alem Gena cordially congratulate the mother church in Singapore for all her achievements for Christ in the home and foreign missions.
