2 Corinthians 1:3,4 "Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who
comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort
wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.”

Comfort is promised by God to all His troubled children. Our God is “the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort”. He is always merciful and ready to comfort the troubled.

Therefore, God’s children should not be afraid when troubles come into their lives. There is no trouble in which God cannot minister His comfort. Whether it is sickness, failure, poverty or persecution, our God will always be with us to grant us His comfort. He will never leave us alone to suffer.

We can even say that troubles in life are like a school, where we are taught more deeply of God’s comfort. We will not only experience God’s comfort, but we will also learn from God how to comfort others who might suffer similar fate in their lives. God trains His children, through their tribulations, to comfort others who are in trouble.

In all our troubles, let us quietly believe that our God is making us stronger and more profitable children. In our troubles, let us seek the comfort that God offers to us. May God make us wise in ministering to those in trouble.
