Galatians 6:2
“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”

Fulfilling the law of Christ must be every Christian’s delight. Jesus said, “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another” (John 13:34). The Lord Jesus Christ instructs all His people to love one another, as He has loved us.

Love is not just a sympathetic feeling expressed in words. It is more than just saying, “I love you.” True love will express itself in action. The apostle John said, “My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth” (1 John 3:18).

If we love others, we must help to bear their burdens in life. When we were under the burden of our sin and guilt, Jesus took them all away by suffering and dying for us on the cross. What a loving Saviour is our Lord Jesus! Likewise we should also help to bear others’ burdens.

Look around you, and you will see many who are struggling. Diseases and other bodily afflictions, financial needs, sad and troubling events are some of the burdens in people’s lives. Let us pray for them. Let us help them according to our abilities.
