Proverbs 1:5 – “A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels.”

Everyone who desires to be wise must cultivate the habit of learning more and more. Nobody is born with full knowledge of all aspects of life. So do not think to yourself that you know everything, but always be humble and enthusiastic about learning more. Don’t be content with what you have already known. Neither should you proudly despise those whom God has placed before you to teach you, whether they be parents, pastors, teachers or friends.

So, listening attentively to those who have knowledge and experience is an important aspect in learning to be wise. Great knowledge comes through hearing attentively those who are wise, especially those who teach the Bible faithfully and effectively.

Remember, the Bible is the perfect source of wisdom. Its wisdom is the highest and most precious. The Bible is the “whole counsel” of God. Thus, Bible learning is the best education you can have, and its counsels will certainly make you very wise. So, always seek to grow in the knowledge of God’s Word.

Do not forsake the opportunity to learn God’s Word. Rather, seize every opportunity to listen attentively to those who teach God’s Word.
