Dependence on Christ for Salvation

Acts 4:12

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

We are totally dependent on the name of Jesus Christ for our salvation from sin and condemnation in hell. If anyone thinks he can have salvation through any other name or through one’s own effort, he is totally wrong. God has not sent anyone to save us except Jesus Christ. The whole world has only one Saviour who can save man and give the hope of heaven, and that Saviour is Jesus.

Do not trust in your goodness or good deeds to find salvation. Neither follow anyone who offers you salvation. It will be a total failure. We are firmly told that “there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

Many people call on many idols and individuals who claim that they are ‘gods’ or ‘saviours’. But we must not be deceived by them. Except Jesus Christ, no one who is born and who has lived on earth is perfectly holy. Because Jesus was sinless and perfect, He offered a perfect sacrifice by His death to remove our sin. No one else has lived, died and risen again to save us, but Jesus alone.

So, children, always depend on Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins and for eternal salvation.
