“For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.”
Here is a prayer of a believer who has been very ill. He could have also been in deep physical trouble. However, the Lord delivered him from it all. He is consequently deeply thankful that God has given him healing from a sickness that could have resulted in prolonged pain and tears, or further deterioration of his health, or even his death!
Upon his healing, the child of God forgets not to acknowledge that it is the Lord who has delivered him from his troubles. He gives glory to God as his Deliverer and Healer. So he said to God, “thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.”
Children, are you thankful to the Lord for taking away your pains, for healing your wounds, broken bones, diseases, etc.? Do you thank Him? When you experience the Lord’s mercies and deliverance, don’t forget to go to the Lord in prayer and worship to thank Him.
